Near Chaugacha, Colonel Priyotosh Dattagupta lives with his wife and disabled son Swadhin, who dreams of joining the military. One day, a stranger, claiming to be writer Bimalananda Sau, arrives as a paying guest. Loved by the family, he grows attached, but suspicions rise when his past is probed. Before leaving, he reveals through a diary that he is Umesh Kumar, an ex-rebel whose family was killed by the army. Finding warmth again, he sacrifices himself to protect them.
