Ashwakhurer Dhulo explores the fall of the Sena Empire through a deep study of Bengal’s social and cultural history. Inspired by Minhaj’s research under the Baul saint Anath of Joydev’s Kadamkhandi Ghat in Birbhum, the play reveals the complex reasons behind the empire’s collapse, showing that it was not caused solely by sudden Turkish invasions. At its heart lies the poignant tragedy of Gaudeshwar.
