This is a love story born in a garbage dump — a tale of struggle and resilience. Romeo and Julie, two ragpickers, love each other but never confess it. Julie marries a drunkard, Panu, whose abuse drives her back to the dump. Reunited with Romeo, they begin organizing the ragpickers. Panu attacks Romeo, who dies of a heart attack during the fight. Julie vows to continue his mission, keeping their love alive through the struggle.
