The play traces the artistic journey of Binodini, from a public woman to one of India’s greatest actors. Featuring an ensemble cast including Girish Ghosh, Amritlal Basu, Gurumukh Roy, Kumar Bahadur, and Rangababu, it also hints at the lives of other female actors of the time. Expository in nature, the play challenges the patriarchal norms of its era and compellingly questions the place of a female artist in a male-dominated, yet public, cultural landscape.
