Abanindranath Tagore’s timeless tale Buro Angla follows Hriday, a mischievous boy cursed by Lord Ganesha to shrink to the size of a thumb after tormenting a mouse. To regain his form, he sets out on an adventurous journey to Kailash with the help of his lame pet swan Subachani and other animals. Along the way, he learns kindness, earns friends, faces enemies like a cunning jackal, and finally, through trials, wins Ganesha’s blessing and awakens wiser.
