Sabyasachi Mukhopadhyay’s play Khun Habar Por portrays the collapse of secular harmony in India amid communal politics and hatred. Childhood friends Kinkar and Kayesh, a Hindu and a Muslim, are killed in riots and meet again in the morgue. Their identities get confused, showing the futility of religious divides. Beyond death, they pray for a secular rebirth where their only identity is being human.
